Welcome!
Welcome to our blog! Alice and I will be posting tips, updates on our travels and information about the RV lifestyle. We welcome your comments.

First, a little background about me- Jaimie Hall-Bruzenak. My late husband, Bill, and I sold our house and most of our possessions in 1992 and began traveling in a 32' used Pace Arrow motorhome. On Election Day, 1992, we voted and left! We almost immediately began looking for work. Our goal was to work as seasonal maintenance workers for the National Park Service. We applied to all sorts of jobs and to jobs at about a dozen national parks. We ended up with our first choice: Grand Teton National Park!
That first winter we set up our rig for boondocking. We bought solar panels and an inverter. Along the way, we got a Blue Boy (for dumping black water) and a macerator pump. We also bought a catalytic heater, which is much more efficient than the heater that is installed. Bill prided himself on never staying in a campground unless we were working.
We ended up working at seven national parks between us over the next ten years. We each did some volunteering plus worked in the tourist industry, sold Christmas trees and I did temporary work. Finding jobs on the road fascinated me. I became a resource for others and wrote about it, which eventually led to my book, Support Your RV Lifestyle! An Insider's Guide to Working on the Road.
Since then, Alice and I have teamed to write several things: RV Traveling Tales: Women's Journeys on the Open Road, The Woman's Guide to Solor RVing, and Taking the Mystery Out of RV Writing.
Bill passed away in 2004 and I married George Bruzenak this year. We now travel in a New Horizon 5th wheel and have a home base in Arizona. This is a recent photo of George and I hiking on Monhegan Island in Maine. Jaimie

Thanks! We look forward to sharing our adventures and tips on the RV lifestyle we have learned from others and from hard knocks!
Irene- it's smart to prepare by getting all the knowledge you can before your leave.
Sue- thanks for the compliment! There are probably books already on this topic. Plus, these blogs pretty well walk you through it. Jaimie
